FAQs
Can I use these keycaps?
First thing - do you have use a mechanical keyboard? Yeah? Ok, second thing you need to know is what kind of switches you have. Are they MX-style switches? Most mechanical keyboards are MX-style switches, but not all are. Some examples of MX-style switches are Cherry, Gateron, Kailh, Invyr, and Halo switches. You can tell a switch is MX by the cross stem.
How much is a keycap?
Each keycap starts at a price of $55, but can increase depending on the complexity of the keycap, including the amount of colors, use of extraneous materials, number of required resin shots, and other variables. The price may seem high initially, but the reality is that these keycaps take a lot of time and effort to make, including the initial sculpting process, subsequent silicone molding process, and finally the resin casting process. Most keycaps made in this style retail at around the same price, or higher.
How much is a commission?
Commissions begin at $60 per cap, with a minimum order of 3 caps per order. I reserve the right to decide which commissions I undertake, and I tend to pick projects that I, myself, am a fan of and get excited by. The price can increase depending on the complexity of the cap. Variables that affect pricing include, but are not limited to, the amount of colors used, the amount of resin shots required to cast the cap, the use of extraneous materials (cold-cast metal powder, UV-reactive materials, glitter, etc.). The best method to determine pricing is to reach out to me via social media or through the site’s commission form.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are only given in the following conditions: 1) the keycap is received in poor condition or not as advertised (does not fit on the switch, has significant air bubbles / blemishes), 2) the keycap received is the incorrect colorway or sculpt reflected on the invoice.
Something of note: I offer two different shipping option for the United States, First Class and Priority Flat Rate. First Class, the cheaper shipping option, does NOT include insurance. Priority Flat Rate, however, which is more expensive, comes standard with up to $50 insurance.
